Wayve autonomous food delivery

Wayve, a British autonomous vehicle company, raised $200m in Series B funding to expand its partnerships with commercial fleets.

It has raised over $258m to date for its technology which relies on commodity video cameras around the vehicle and AI software. This means it relies less on being connected to 4g and 5g.

Some big names joined the round - Microsoft and Virgin, Richard Branson’s company.

Ocado, a UK online delivery platform, invested $13.6m in Wayve for autonomous grocery delivery.

Everyone talks about the big players like Tesla when it comes to autonomous, but cool to see other companies out there finding some traction as well.
